Understanding your report
How It Works
Understanding your report - not replacing your doctor
Medical imaging reports are written primarily for physicians and often contain complex medical terminology. UnderstandMyScan provides a clear explanation of your report in plain language so you can better understand the findings before discussing them with your healthcare provider.
You may upload a PDF of your report or copy and paste the report text into the submission form.
What to know before submitting your report
- Reports must be from adult breast imaging studies.
- Reports must be for patients 18 years or older.
- You may submit one report per submission.
- You may upload a PDF or copy and paste the report text.
- This service explains the written radiology report, not the imaging itself.
